BLOGGING, Y U NOT FOR ME???

As a last post for my OC 152 comm blog, I would like to focus on what I’ve learned during my blogging experience. These are few things that I have learned from making my blog.

  • Blogging requires a wide range of knowledge. This does not mean that you have to be a Cum Laude in order to blog. It simply means that you have to experience a lot of things to share in your blogs. Let’s say for technology, you have to have experienced using a lot of gadgets in order to blog about them.
  • Blogging is a venue for you to voice out your opinions. Your blog is your blog. That’s it. No one has the right to judge your opinions. We have our freedom of speech so feel free to voice out and give your opinions in your blogs. But never forget the respect begets respect so in order to be a blogger with a fine reputation, act like one.
  • Blogging takes time. Maybe this one would not be agreed upon by everyone. But from my experience, I totally agree to it. Put into simpler terms. Blogging is not for crammers. You have to give your best in your blogs since it will be published online and if you publish something online, you can no longer take it back.
Hopefully, this wouldn’t be my last blog post in my entire life. This has been a fun experience for me. If someone says that blogs are just online diaries, guess what? Blogs are way too cooler than diaries. Once again, this is Your Hotness, saying farewell for now. :D

Buzzted!

No one is safe in social media. It won’t give you time to breathe, keep calm, and face your audience. You can be caught off-guard with your posts, photos, and tweets. So we should always be wary with what we are doing online.

If ordinary people like us are not safe in social media, what more are the celebrities? Who are the centers of attraction among the crowd. Everything they do would be amplified and publicized through social media and word-of-mouth. Take for example the rumors of Selena Gomez being pregnant and the father is (uhh) Justin Bieber.    Continue reading

Hyperspecialization

If you think specialization is already enough to divide jobs into simpler processes, here comes hyperspecialization. Hyperspecialization is the division of roles into extremely specific tasks to achieve goals faster and more efficiently.  Continue reading

Fear of Rejection? Success is Just a Few Clicks Away!

Torpe? Shy type? Afraid of being rejected?

This is the answer to your problem! Do I sound like a huckster? LOL. Harana.ph is based from the word harana which means “to serenade”. Harana’s  are being done by male suitors along with a few back-up singers and guitarists to hopefully make their crushes fall in love with their voices through a song. Continue reading

Y U TAG ME???

Facebook, as far as i know, has been the first social networking site to introduce the tagging feature. It is an easier way to share photos with your friends online. You just have to upload that photo and tag as many friends as you want. This feature of Facebook gives a link of the user in the photo and in return, the photo is also shown in the user’s profile. And since September 14, 2009, status and posts tagging has also been introduced to the Facebook community. This also has the same features as the photo tagging.

But as technology attempts to make our lives easier, there are some people who push technology to the limits. These people use tagging for other purposes. Let me give you examples of these “illegal taggers”.

Hello Twitter!

Weeks ago, I have been asking my friends what the difference between Facebook and Twitter is. Mara has been convincing me for quite a while back then to make a twitter account so I wanted to know what would be new if I make a Twitter account.

The 140-character rule

And so, the only answer my friends were able to give me was that you can share what you feel in 140 characters. What I thought was there was no difference after all. I can continue with my Facebook account because I can share my emotions in 140 characters with it just like on Twitter.

SMOKING Hot!!!

Recent news reports have featured the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) in condemning the cover pictorial of Nora Aunor in the October 2011 issue of Yes! magazine where the superstar was holding a cigarette.  Days after, the same organization has criticized Anne Curtis’ cover photo in the October 2011 issue of Rogue magazine for the same reason of presenting Anne holding a cigarette in the magazine cover.

This, as the Philippine Medical Association reasons out, is because it goes against their advocacy of having a smoke-free Philippines. Continue reading

Facebook’s Video Calling: A new threat to the public.

Why?

Well, it’s because this is how the media in the Philippines tell the public about it. An arising danger to the youth, an imminent threat to the parents’ children, a villain about to destroy the universe (and all the worst metaphors you can think of). Facebook Video Calling will be the root of all “cybercrimes” like scams, pornography, murder and rape. But I think otherwise.
